The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The official journals of the society are Journal of Mathematical Psychology and Computational Brain & Behavior.

Society News and Updates

Subject to budgetary authorization, the Department of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California has available a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. Of particular interest are researchers who apply experimental and computational approaches to Decision-Making and Judgment research. Current departmental research themes include: (i) cognitive modeling, (ii) vision, hearing, attention and action, (iii) language and development, and (iv) cognitive neuroscience.

  • 3-5 letters of recommendation

This is just a quick "save the date" message for those of you who plan on attending next years' meeting of the Australian Society for Mathematical Psychology.

There's not a lot on there at this point but stay tuned - we'll be posting all of the information we have as we have it.  Submissions won't be due for many months yet and we'll send out an email about that as it draws closer.
