The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

The Laboratory for Mathematical Psychology at Indiana University seeks a postdoctoral researcher in cognitive modeling and experimental psychology. A major duty is assisting Dr. James T. Townsend in fulfilling research outlined in an Air Force grant, A Proposal to Perform New Theoretical and Experimental Research on Human Efficiency Through Developments Within Systems Factorial Technology (SFT).

Postdoctoral Position in Cognitive Psychology

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellow (Cognitive Psychology) in the School of Psychology at UNSW. The successful applicant will undertake work on experimental and cognitive modelling approaches to the study of decision making. The research is funded by an Australian Research Council Grant held jointly by Professor Ben Newell (School of Psychology, University of New South Wales, Sydney) and Dr Don van Ravenzwaaij (University of Newcastle, Australia).
