The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Cognitive Modeling

The Laboratory for Mathematical Psychology at Indiana University and the Visual Neuroscience Laboratory at The University of Oklahoma seek a postdoctoral researcher in cognitive modeling and experimental psychology. This is a two-site study, but the resident workplace is in Bloomington, Indiana. The position is funded by the National Science Foundation.

University of South Australia Postdoctoral Research Fellow

The Institute for Choice, located in Sydney, Australia, is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral position in the area of choice modelling. The particular research stream motivating this position aims to develop and test new behavioral and econometric models of choice based on the assumption that individuals adopt "how to decide" (or antecedent volition) strategies when choosing between alternatives. The position is funded by an Australian Research Council Discovery grant to Joffre Swait and A. Marley. Start date is July 2014 or negotiable.
