The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

2015 Estes Early Career Award

The Society for Mathematical Psychology is soliciting nominations for an award to be given for exceptional published research in the field of mathematical psychology by an early career researcher. "Early career researcher" is intended to include individuals who are either students or are no more than six years beyond the Ph.D. at the time of nomination. Publications dated 2009 or later will be considered.

Special Issue - Foundations of Probability Theory

The Journal of Mathematical Psychology will publish a special issue on the topic "Foundations of Probability Theory and Their Significance in Psychology and Beyond." The submissions sought for peer-review can be on all foundational issues in probability theory. A formal expression of interest, including a tentative title and abstract, should be submitted on or before April 15, 2015. The papers should be submitted before September 15, 2015. We intend to put the special issue into production by the end of 2015. Appeals to editorial decisions will be handled by Editor-in-Chief, Philip Smith.
