The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

Special Issue - Foundations of Probability Theory

The Journal of Mathematical Psychology will publish a special issue on the topic "Foundations of Probability Theory and Their Significance in Psychology and Beyond." The submissions sought for peer-review can be on all foundational issues in probability theory. A formal expression of interest, including a tentative title and abstract, should be submitted on or before April 15, 2015. The papers should be submitted before September 15, 2015. We intend to put the special issue into production by the end of 2015. Appeals to editorial decisions will be handled by Editor-in-Chief, Philip Smith.

2015 Summer Institute on Bounded Rationality

Applications are open for the 2015 Summer Institute on Bounded Rationality, which will take place on June 4–11, 2015, at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany. The Summer Institute aims to foster understanding of the process and quality of decision making when the conditions of rational choice theory are not met. To this end, it offers a forum for decision-making scholars from various disciplines to share their approaches.
