The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

Are you 5-15 years out of your PhD, interested in a 4-year research-only position and then a continuing position in Australia?

Over a five-year period (2009 -2013), ARC Future Fellowships will offer four-year fellowships of up to AU$140,000 a year to 1,000 outstanding Australian and international researchers in the middle of their careers. In addition, each researcher's Administering Organisation will receive funding of up to AU$50,000 per year to support related infrastructure, equipment, travel and relocation costs.

Applicants will usually need to gain the support of a particular Australian university, and different universities have different arrangements in terms of conditions on offering a permanent position after the 4 years of research.
