The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

Deadline April 30, 2012

The Society for Mathematical Psychology is providing a limited number of $100 student travel awards on a competitive basis.  The purpose of these student travel awards is to subsidize the costs of travel to the Society for Mathematical Psychology Meeting.  In order to be eligible for a graduate student or postdoctoral scholar travel award, an award applicant must satisfy the following conditions:

  1. Be a student member or member of the Society for Mathematical Psychology (application forms may be found here.
  2. Be a co-author on an abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the Society for Mathematical Psychology Meeting.
  3. Submit a copy of the abstract as part of the student travel award application file.
  4. Submit an updated academic vita summarizing professional accomplishments.

The application materials must be received by the Secretary-Treasurer, Richard M. Golden, before April 30, 2012.

Awards will be officially announced and distributed in person at the next meeting of the Society for Mathematical Psychology at the Business Meeting.
