The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

The Social Science Data Analytic Initiative at Michigan State University is seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor, tenured Associate Professor or Professor that has experience applying data analytics to social science problems. The subject area and tenure home for the position is open and the successful applicant could specialize in Economics, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Psychology or other related disciplines. We seek talented individuals that are using new technologies and large-scale data in creative ways to foster knowledge about the social world. Expertise in Bayesian methodologies, statistical learning, geospatial prediction, text analytics, causal inference, or data visualization are particularly valued.
