Assistant Professor in Computational Cognitive Science at Purdue University

Job Summary


Purdue University’s Department of Psychological Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computational Cognitive Science to begin in the Fall of 2022. The applicant is expected to contribute to the mathematical and computational psychology graduate program by developing a nationally-recognized research program and to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses. Qualifications


The candidate must have a Ph.D. in psychology, cognitive science, or a related discipline by the position start date, a strong publication record, and a research program with a high likelihood of obtaining external funding. We seek candidates who create and use state-of-the-art computational cognitive science models to study complex cognitive processes broadly defined. Examples of potential areas of expertise include (but are not limited to): human reasoning, problem solving, concept learning, and creativity.
